The Governing body of this small but extremely successful proactive Primary School, set in rural Northumberland, seeks to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team from 1st January 2017. The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the class teacher to support pupils’ access to learning, and provide general support to the teacher for the management of pupils in the class.
Governors seek an individual who;
• Has an outstanding record of working well within a team demonstrating enthusiasm and a positive attitude
• Has experience of working with children in a primary school setting
• Can actively promote inclusive practice within the classroom setting to ensure acceptance of all children
• Can encourage the children to engage in and participate in learning activities led by the class teacher
• Can attend to the personal needs of the pupils including the implementation of personal learning programmes that may include social, health, physical and welfare objectives
This post is a variable hours contract between 20 hours and 32.5. Initially for 32.5 hours per week.
Successful applicants will receive the Northumberland Living Wage Supplement in addition to their basic salary (if applicable).
This is a Permanent post
