We are seeking to appoint an inspired and inspiring graduate teacher from September 2017 to contribute to our outstanding English department and high achieving school to teach from Y7 to GCSE.

Applications are invited from those who are willing and able to make their own distinctive contribution to this ethos and see teaching as a vocation.

We have a culture of leadership and participation for staff as well as students. We are an outward facing school. For forward thinking staff we offer opportunities to develop leadership skills by taking on whole school initiatives. Many staff move on from us to senior roles in other schools.

Application forms and further information are available by following the link on our website: www.st-cuthbertshigh.newcastle.sch.uk for submission by 9am on 7 April 2017. Interviews will be held on 10 April 2017.

Candidates are not expected to be practising Catholics to apply but are expected to support the Catholic ethos of the school.

Please note we do not accept applications by CV and all applicants must complete and return the Safe Recruitment Form as part of the application process.

The Board of Governors and the Diocese are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young persons. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
