Epinay Business & Enterprise School is a designated school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties. However due to the changing role of special schools, the school has a wide range of pupils with complex learning needs, including a number who exhibit social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, ADHD, ASD and specific learning difficulties (dyslexia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia).

We are a designated Business & Enterprise School and a Co-operative Trust School. Our most recent Ofsted inspection (December 2012) gave us “Outstanding” as an overall grade.

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and outstanding practitioner who is creative, innovative and enterprising and can work independently and as part of a team. The person appointed will teach a range of subjects.

South Tyneside Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant pre-employment checks and completion of a disqualification by association declaration form (Childcare Disqualifications Regulations 2009).
