We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated qualified Social Worker with experience in Safeguarding Adults. In addition, an in depth knowledge of The Care Act , Making Safeguarding Personal and The Mental Capacity Act and the ability to apply this in practice and promote good practice is essential.

The job will involve carrying out initial enquires in relation to safeguarding concerns and completing an enquiry report. This will involve evaluating and analyzing the information gathered in the initial enquiry. It will also involve ensuring that the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal are implemented by involving the adult at risk or their representative in discussions.

Additional responsibilities include giving advice and guidance in relation to Safeguarding, to members of the public or other professionals, linking with the police in relation to Police Vulnerable Adult Concern and preparing research for MARAC meetings.

You will be expected to keep up to date with the changes in legislation, policy and guidance. It is also essential that you can demonstrate a commitment to non-discriminatory practice and equal opportunities.
