This is an exciting time to join Newcastle City Council and be part of delivering first class social work for vulnerable children, young people and families.

Based in our Children’s Social Care Services you will be supported to apply systemic, Signs of Safety and social learning theory approaches to deliver focused and purposeful interventions in frontline practice. Building upon the strong track record we have already of delivering a high quality service in Newcastle, you will be actively involved in shaping our new approach to social work. You will be encouraged to develop your skills and provided with opportunities for further training and development.

You must be dynamic, committed to providing excellent services and bring a comprehensive knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with vulnerable children and families. You will be an enthusiastic team player who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children in Newcastle.
