First Class Supply are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants who have experience of working in within an SEN educational setting. Positions are available on both a daily and longer term basis, and in various year groups. These opportunities are available from October 2016, and throughout the academic year. Roles are available for a range of full and part time hours, meaning we are able to provide you with a position that suits your lifestyle.

Your duties will be to assist the class teacher with activities, and to give additional support to small groups or pupils on a one to one basis. We are interested in hearing from you whatever your experience with SEN pupils may be as we currently work with schools supporting a range of SEN including Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Sensory Impairment, Behavioural Difficulties and more.

Successful applicants will:

• Ideally hold a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant child care discipline
• Have experience of working within a school, nursery or education setting
• Be committed to making a real difference to the lives of pupils
• Be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Be flexible to work in areas within Northumberland, North Tyneside or Newcastle.

It would be beneficial if you hold a current:

• First Aid Certificate
• Team Teach Certificate.
