PLAYGROUND ACTIVITIES LEADER Welbeck Academy Required as soon as possible Hours: 9 hours 10 minutes per week, term time only (38 weeks) Salary range – SCP 11-13 (Please note, WISE Academies currently offers a noncontractual WISE Living Wage of £8.45 per hour) Welbeck is a dynamic, rapidly improving school that has high aspirations for all of our children. We are looking to recruit a Playground Activities Leader who has experience of working with children and are able to: - Devise, develop and organise activities for all children during the mid-day break. - Organise playground space and portable equipment, liaising with other staff to ensure health and safety of
  all children. - Encourage, engage and motivate children to participate in playground activities, encouraging good order and high
  standards of behaviour. - Work effectively as part of a team. - Establish positive relationships with children. - Work across the whole primary age range (3 – 11 years) including children with Special Needs. - Communicate with children in a way that they can understand and relate to. - Maintain and manage behaviour according to school policy in a calm, fair way. - Deal with any challenging behaviour in a patient, quiet manner. - Listen to, care for and support the children. - Ensure areas are kept tidy. - Report accident and incidents properly.
