The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Planning Strategy Team in the Regeneration Directorate including staff management , performance, budget control and service delivery and improvement. The Council's new borough wide local plan has now reached publication stage and one of the key tasks of the successful candidate will be to manage the public examination of the plan which, it is expected, will be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate in March 2017 with a view to securing adoption of the plan in Autumn 2017.
The Council is looking for a candidate with significant experience of policy formulation, plan preparation and the associated regulatory procedures, this may be a candidate with existing management experience looking for a new challenge or or an experienced candidate looking to take the next step in their career development.
