Teacher of PE and SSCO Role We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and ambitious individual to teach P.E and be a SSCO for the local primary schools. The candidate will be required to teach core PE across KS3 and KS4 alongside GCSE PE and/or BTEC Sport. The academy has an outstanding track record of achievement and progress in Level 2 BTEC Sport. The role and responsibilities include: • Teaching PE • Teaching exam PE • Assessing, recording and reporting on students’ progress • Supporting the vision and values of the department and school • Co ordinating a sports programme for the local primary schools • Liaising with primary schools effectively to ensure outstanding delivery The successful candidates will: • Have the ability to teach core PE across a wide range of activities at KS3/4 and to contribute to
PE examination courses • Be a consistently good, energetic and enthusiastic teacher • Be committed, flexible and able to motivate students of all abilities • Have a strong commitment to a wide range of extra-curricular activities • Have excellent organisation, interpersonal and communication skills QTS and NQT applications are welcome.
