We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our established and supportive Occupational therapy team. This is a new post to work alongside the Occupational therapists who work in Housing.
The focus of the Occupational therapy service is to promote the independence of adults and children through assessment, specialist advice, equipment and adaptations, or rehousing advice.
Your role will be to assist Occupational therapy colleagues to support and co-ordinate an efficient and effective service. As part of your role you will undertake non-complex assessments for adults and children with physical disabilities in the community and arrange the provision of appropriate equipment and/or adaptations. You will undertake reviews and co-ordinate service delivery keeping clients and colleagues updated. You will work with a wide range of internal and external partners including coast and country housing.
The post is part of the Integrated Occupational Therapy service across South Tees giving wide access to peer support, staff development and integrated working practices across health and social care.
