Due to the relocation of the current Maths leader, and required for September 2017, The Governing Body wish to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic KS2 practitioner who can lead the core subject area of Maths throughout school and help develop this outstanding Church of England Primary School. Preference will be given to applicants who feel that they can support and promote the Christian ethos already established within the school.

St Francis of Assisi CE VA Primary School is a dynamic and inspirational learning community underpinned by our strong Christian ethos and core Christian values with a commitment to excellence for all. The school is currently expanding each year from one to two form entry. The school is fully committed to an inclusive yet distinctive approach to education.

We are looking for a teacher and leader who:
- Is an outstanding classroom practitioner and can excite, enthuse and engage children;
- Has the ability to lead a core subject area and develop this throughout school;
- Demonstrates high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour;
- Can work as part of the leadership team to enhance teaching and learning;
- Understands and contribute to the distinctive ethos of a Church of England School.

The role of the Core Subject Leader will be to:
- Provide subject leadership for Maths;
- Develop innovation in teaching and learning; inspiring both colleagues and motivating pupils;
- Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of quality teaching and standards within your subject;
- Support staff in raising attainment and progress across all three Key Stages;
- Lead CPD where appropriate.
