Hope Wood Academy is an all age special academy in Easington, Co Durham. It is part of the Ascent Academies Trust, which comprises five special academies in the North East. As part of the staff team you will play a key role in the achievement and development of students.
Post: Teacher (Primary Phase Lead)
Grade: MPS/ UPS + SEN allowance + TLR2b
We are seeking to appoint a skilled practitioner, with excellent teaching skills, to work across the academy on a permanent basis. Candidates will have QTS/ QTLS and experience of teaching pupils with a range of SEND in a primary setting. The successful candidate will lead a team and provide leadership for specific areas identified by the Head of Academy. Experience of leading a curriculum area is essential.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
