We have a number of exciting and challenging vacancies within our newly created ‘Housing Solutions’ team. We are looking for an experienced professional for a new post of Health and Housing Needs Manager within South Tyneside Homes. The Housing Solutions team will bring together under one service all aspects of allocating and repairing empty homes, managing the housing register, providing a housing options and homelessness service on behalf of the council and supporting vulnerable customers through our Health and Housing service. The Health and Housing Needs Manager will be part of the new Housing Solutions management team responsible for developing the culture of the new service, providing strategic direction to the team and leading the team to achieve increased performance. The Health and Housing Needs Manager will be responsible for providing an excellent occupational therapy service and also introducing a new service for vulnerable applicants to support their engagement in the choice based lettings service and implementing a triage service to support applicants who may be at risk of failing in their tenancies. You should have a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy. You should have experience of working in a social housing, options, advice and needs service at a management level.
