Facilities Management are looking for 2 part time Food and Beverage Assistants on a permanent basis. The role is within our Civic and Corporate Catering team to provide services.
The successful candidate will be based at Gateshead Council's Civic Centre, although they may be required to work at other locations. You will be undertaking a full range of food and beverage services as an individual and as part of a team including, but not limited to, preparing food and beverages, cooking a range of simple dishes,preparing facilities prior to use, serving customers, taking payments all whilst observing the requirements of relevant legislation and regulations concerned with hygiene, health and safety. You will provide a high level of customer service to customers.
It is essential that you have knowledge of kitchen, bar or food service duties and experience of working in a busy food and beverage outlet. Knowledge of food safety legislation, or a relevant NVQ level 2, or a basic food hygiene certificate would put you at an advantage.
