Redcar and Cleveland Council are looking to recruit a very experienced Senior Key Worker to work with our most vulnerable young people and their families for 32 hours per week with a focus on delivering outreach and parenting interventions. You will be part of our Early Help team, supporting families who are open to social care as well as occasionally supervising contacts.

Duties will include:
• Attending planning meetings with social workers and developing a plan of
parenting work
• Delivering the parenting work in the home, as well as facilitating group based programmes
• Organising meetings with social workers and parents to review progress towards outcomes
• Recording case notes and observations
• Writing reports that can be used as evidence in court
• Attending core groups and child protection conferences
• Outreach work to support young people on the edge of care

The post holder will be required to work flexible hours including occasional weekends and evenings.
You will be part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team and you will receive excellent support and supervision, together with opportunities for personal development.
The Specialist Support team is part of Redcar and Cleveland’s Early Help Service.
