EXAM INVIGILATORS

Salary Band 3 Point 14
£8.41 per hour

We are currently looking for 5 people to fulfill the role of invigilator within our school. This is a casual, term time post, to meet the needs of the school’s annual examination timetable. You can request to work as little or as much as you like during the May/June period. All that we ask of you is that open about your availability during this time frame, and are reliable and punctual once booked to attend school for invigilation purposes.

To be able to fulfill the requirements of this role, the right candidate(s) should be able to work independently and able to follow prescribed procedures. Candidates must also be confident in dealing with young people yet able to maintain an air of authority. In addition, the right candidate(s) should be comfortable working under pressure and able to communicate with pupils and staff in a clear and accurate manner.

This is a responsible role which main purpose is to assist in the set-up, delivery, monitoring and time keeping of the examination process. You may also be required to assist with emergencies, for example, illness and fire alarms that may occur during examinations, in accordance with centre policies and JCQ regulations.

Full training of the duties and responsibilities of the role will be given and as such it is a requirement of the post that you are available to attend a training day on the 4th April 2017.
