South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for an outstanding leader to join our team.
We are seeking to appoint a transformational and visionary leader who will promote, improve and protect the health and wellbeing of the people of South Tyneside.
You will play a major influencing role, working across the Council and with our partners and the public to lead and shape the future direction of our public health services, ensuring that we are focused, efficient and targeted
in our approach. We want public health to be a major consideration in our corporate decision making - and you will need to be a powerful advocate for this agenda. You will need a deep understanding of how to make a tangible difference to the lives of our residents and deliver long term systemic public health improvements in South Tyneside.
You will need to demonstrate a robust understanding of public health principles, Local Government, NHS and partnership working. You will be a system leader, focused on outcomes and able to manage relationships within an ever changing public sector.
