We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, talented, enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to teach across the Key Stage 3 Pupil Referral Service after the promotion of one of our staff members.

You will have a track record of successfully engaging vulnerable young people and the ability to work creatively with parents/carers, teaching/support staff and colleagues.

As a suitably qualified and experienced teacher, you will plan, prepare and deliver high-quality and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum/GCSE specifications, alternative qualifications and SEN Code of Practice and have the ability to motivate and inspire young people experiencing behavioural, emotional, social and/or health difficulties.

You must be able to evidence:
• Recent experience of teaching KS3 to an outstanding level
• Recent experience of teaching KS3 students who exhibit emotional and social difficulties;
• Ability to successfully motivate and teach disaffected children within mainstream secondary education and/or other settings;
• Their ability to ensure the service meets the statutory requirements of the SEN Code of Practice;
• Their ability to lead and manage personalised learning programmes for pupils;
• Their experience of and ability to develop, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of their given subject
• The person appointed must be flexible in all aspects of their work, as they may be required to teach in both KS3.
