Further Information
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher and an exceptional leader for our Business and Enterprise Department for September 2017.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a successful Business and Enterprise department. You will also be expected to play a key role in promoting Enterprise, links with business and work-related learning across the curriculum and will view this opportunity as ideal preparation for Senior Leadership.

Our school has a really positive ethos, with very strong pastoral and academic guidance and a real emphasis on learning in everything we do. We were inspected by Ofsted in May 2012 and were graded as Outstanding in every category and overall. Such significant progress has only been possible because we have a committed, enthusiastic and highly skilled staff team, a supportive governing body and superb students. We genuinely believe the support, care and welfare of our students is second to none and we are a school which puts the students at the very centre of all that it does. Ofsted said that our students receive “a first-class education” but we are not a complacent school. There are many aspects that we can improve further and our challenge is to do this without compromising our existing strengths.

If you have passion and energy to inspire and motivate students and staff; a proven track record of success in raising standards; exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to teamwork then we would love to hear from you.

George Stephenson High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant employment checks deemed appropriate.
