Churchill Community College was described by OFSTED in May 2014 as ‘Outstanding’.

We are looking for an Additional Educational Needs (AEN) Coordinator for our Learning Support Department. This role includes acting as the SENCO, Designated Teacher for Looked After Children and coordinating provision for Gifted and Talented and EAL students. The AEN Coordinator also acts as Line Manager for TRAX, a Local Authority KS3 ESBD provision. The TRAX team includes an Assistant Manager, two Behaviour Support assistants and an Educational Psychologist (part time). The AEN Coordinator leads a department of eight support assistants, four cover supervisors and a Literacy teacher.

You should be a talented, dynamic leader, able to communicate your enthusiasm about education to staff and students and create an exciting, inspiring learning environment. You must be passionate about every student achieving their potential and about supporting them in overcoming their barriers to learning. You must foster excellent relationships with external agencies and local primary schools. You must work closely with the Heads of Year to identify any special educational needs that have not been previously identified in primary schools and seek the relevant support for the students.

This is a permanent post commencing 1st September 2017.
