Job Location: Your normal place of work will be Ushaw College, but you may be required to work at any location within County Durham and Darlington.

Durham Music Service requires a pool of temporary instrumental staff, to be used to cover staff absence.

Applications will be welcomed from all disciplines. Durham Music Service provides lessons and programmes in the following main teaching areas :

• Upper Strings (violin/viola)
• Lower Strings (cello/double base)
• Woodwind (flue/clarinet/sax plus double reed in some schools)
• Brass
• Guitar and Ukulele
• Percussion
• Piano and Keyboard
• Curriculum (EYFS to KS2)
• Singing

Durham Music Service is the lead partner in the Music Education Hub for County Durham and Darlington.

We are keen to invite applications from teachers who wish to be involved in delivering both whole class ‘First Access’ programmes and small group tuition. The job involves travel across County Durham /Darlington Borough and candidates must be able to meet this provision.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 14 June 2021 remotely via Microsoft Teams

Required qualifications: Applicants must have a recognised music performance qualification (Grade 8 or equivalent) on their principal instrument.
