We are seeking to recruit suitable people to work within our Children’s Homes. The homes provide care for a small number of children and young people and are situated in the Middlesbrough area.
The successful candidates will be expected to provide a high standard of care to children and young people who may have experienced many difficulties and who may have emotional and behavioural problems.
Successful candidates will be based initially in a named home, but will be expected to be prepared to work in any Middlesbrough Children’s Home or Centre as required and to work with children in the community or within their own homes.
Applicants must:
• Have a recognised Child Care Qualification (minimum of QCF Level 3) or a willingness to achieve this award
• Experience of working with children and young people
• An understanding of child development and challenging behaviour
• A positive attitude and the ability to work with young people
You will also be required to work unsocial hours - including week-ends, bank holidays and nights. A Full UK Driving License is a requirement for this post.
