CAREERS CO-ORDINATOR & ADVISER 26 hours per week, term time only + 5days Grade 8, SCP 27-31 (£24,174 - £27,668) 11-18 Comprehensive School No. on Roll: 1,369 (245 in the Sixth Form) The Governors of this highly successful school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-confident and suitably experienced person for the post of Careers Co-ordinator and Adviser. The post will be approximately 26 hours per week with the exact details to be agreed with the successful candidate. The post will be term time only, plus 5 days by agreement, but which will include Public Examinations Results Days in August. The successful candidate will be required to: - Offer advice and guidance on the Higher Education application process - Offer Careers Education, Information, Advice & Guidance - Organise HE and Careers Events and Workshops - To manage and prioritise a demanding workload and meet tight deadlines - Have an excellent record of attendance and punctuality - Possess excellent ICT skills and knowledge of all Microsoft packages - Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills - Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team - Be able to communicate clearly and effectively - Ideally have recent / current experience of working in an educational environment The successful candidate will be a motivated, well organised person who can work under demanding conditions and will be able to deliver a consistently high standard of work.
