We wish to appoint a dedicated and effective individual to this important new role. The successful applicant will lead and manage all aspects of pupil attendance in the school and ensure pupil attendance is maximised.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership and Pastoral Teams you will be responsible for ensuring that all requirements for recording and reporting pupil attendance and absence are met in an efficient and effective manner. You will employ a range of strategies to overcome barriers to good attendance and work closely with parents and carers. You will also be responsible for the collection of all pupil data, ensuring it is recorded accurately, efficiently and in an organised manner. In addition, you will prepare, analyse and share data regarding pupil attendance with the SLT and other staff discussing concerns and action required.

The successful candidate will have a good degree level or at least Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject and must have at least three years' recent experience working with secondary aged pupils. In addition, you will have an excellent understanding of both statutory and good practice guidance surrounding attendance, as well as knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures and policies. You will have well developed organisational skills, excellent ICT skills including the use of spreadsheets and be able to effectively communicate with staff, pupils and parents.
