As a Lexcel accredited legal team committed to achieving continuous improvement and to ensuring our clients receive a high quality, cost effective service, we wish to recruit a flexible, skilled and enthusiastic Lawyer with a 'can do' approach to join us as a Lawyer within the Safeguarding and Litigation Team. The team provides legal advice and court advocacy on a broad range of local authority related matters including:

- child and adult safeguarding
- prosecutions
- general litigation, including matters relating to licensing decisions, bankruptcy & debt recovery, anti-social behaviour, planning prosecution and enforcement appeals
- housing (ASB/ Homelessness/Possession)
- education
- employment

We are looking for a practising solicitors/barristers/FILEX’s with relevant post qualification experience; in particular, experience in child safeguarding matters is essential. A proven ability to undertake work independently with limited supervision and to meet moving deadlines, together with a collaborative, problem solving approach and strong advocacy skills is also essential.

The successful candidate will be willing and able to undertake court advocacy, provide effective support to colleagues and work across a range of legal matters within the broader legal team where necessary; this may include attendance at committees and tribunals and participating in cross department multi-disciplinary teams.
