We require an Administrative Assistant on full time, fixed term 10 month contract for our busy office based in Gateshead.

The role will involve general administration duties, communicating with clients and ensuring efficient processing of enquiries.

Transmit Start-Ups is a business that provides business support, funding, mentoring and training to small businesses throughout England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We have a number of contracts to deliver both national and regional business support programmes.

We currently consist of 14 employees and we are seeking a new team member to help cover maternity leave.

We require somebody with experience in client liaison and administration, who can perform the following duties:

• Communicate clearly with clients
• Respond to telephone and email enquiries
• Greet clients who visit our office
• Enter and maintain customer information in online databases and software programmes
• Liaise with the organisations who oversee the programmes delivered by Transmit
• Make decisions on client eligibility based on the information they provide and signpost clients to the most
  relevant options
• Use a customer relationship management (CRM) system
• Maintain an email mailing list
• File management (mainly electronic)
• Complete, maintain and process paperwork for the programmes delivered by Transmit
• Assist with arranging in-house and external events
• General office duties (distributing post, scanning, copying, shredding, keeping things organised and tidy etc)

Our ideal candidate will be:

• Structured and organised with good attention to detail
• Friendly, have a good sense of humour and be a good communicator
• A quick learner with the ability to adapt and be flexible to changes in the programmes we deliver
• Competent with Microsoft Office, data entry, email and websites
• Able to learn new software (e.g. Capsule CRM, MailChimp, Dropbox, Text Magic, Small PDF)
• Able to treat potentially sensitive information in a confidential manner
• Able to work to deadlines
• Able to manage multiple activities
• Able to analyse data and make informed decisions without supervision
