Further Information
We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher for September 2017 or as soon as possible. Ideally they would have a Maths/numeracy specialism or background with the ability to teach science as well. Whilst Maths is the main area of need, appointing 'excellent teachers of children' is highly important to us, therefore if other subject areas are specialisms they would be considered as long as the person applying is very confident and can demonstrate the ability to teach Maths/numeracy up to GCSE standard.

These posts will be based at Rise Carr College; an Ofsted rated GOOD Pupil Referral Unit where we work proactively with young adults, schools and academies in Darlington. Students are referred for a variety of reasons and our main aim is to help and equip them with the necessary skills and confidence to return to mainstream education or post 16 providers. You will be part of a small team delivering high quality, educational packages and interventions within the College.

It is essential that applicants have relevant occupational qualifications, at least three years' experience of working with vulnerable and/or challenging students. We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative people who are genuinely interested in working with and assisting vulnerable youngsters aged between 11-16 years in order to reach their potential.

Here at Rise Carr we are very interested in curriculum innovation and want to hear from suitably qualified like minded people and look forward to investigating ways in which we may work together.

For an informal discussion please contact Emma Hickerson, Headteacher on (01325) 348600
