Middlesbrough – the place to live, work and visit.

Middlesbrough is a fantastic place, proud of its heritage and ambitious enough to shape an entirely different future. We have set out our city-scale plans to deliver over £600 million of investment that will promote economic growth and strengthen both our regional and national reputation as a destination of choice.

Our ambition for our children and young people is equally high and we are investing in the transformation of children services through our ‘Believe in Families’ programme. We are really excited by this investment and are looking to recruit a Consultant Social Worker to be part of the next generation of social workers.

This is a very exciting time for Children’s Services in Middlesbrough and we are seeking an exceptional person to help us deliver our transformation for the children and families of Middlesbrough. If you have the Passion, Integrity and Focus to help us achieve our ambition, we would love to hear from you.

We have a Consultant Social Worker (CSW) opportunity within Children’s Services in Middlesbrough. The role will involve the management of a participant unit of four ‘participants’, supervising and developing learning, modelling good practice and assessing and grading their practice.

The CSW role will involve working systematically with families and co-ordinating the work of four Frontline participants. The successful candidate will undertake the Consultant Social Worker Practice Leadership Training, which is a bespoke training programme devised for this role. Please visit https://thefrontline.org.uk/consultant-social-workers/ for further information regarding the Frontline programme and the role of CSW.
If you would like to apply for the role, you will need to;
1. Complete a standard North East Jobs application form (you do not need to complete the additional information section)
2. Take part in a video interview.
Please email joanne.ormston@thefrontline.org.uk who will send you a link to the access the video interview. The link will take you through a step by step process of how to set up the software as well as giving you tips on how to prepare. You will be asked 5 questions and will have between 1 and 2 minutes to record each answer. There is also some time to think through and plan your answer. The video interview recording will then be sent to us for shortlisting purposes.

For further information please speak to Sam Addison, Head of Safeguarding & Intervention, on 01642 513601, or Amanda Richardson, Transformation Practice Educator on 01642 513381.
