You would be joining a Senior Leadership Team which works cohesively with high challenge to deliver the priorities of the Adult Social Care and Commissioning Directorate and wider Council. Leading our Early intervention, Prevention and Safeguarding Hub to support people in South Tyneside to live in the place they call home, with the people and things that they love, in communities where people look out for one another, doing things that matter to them.
The role offers a real opportunity to continue to transform and develop our health and social care system for the benefit of local people. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to make a tangible difference to the lives of local people working closely with internal and external colleagues to help shape the future of our Early Intervention, Prevention and Safeguarding Hub.
You will provide senior strategic leadership for our Early Intervention, Prevention and Safeguarding Hub, where Social Care, Acute/ Community Health Services, Housing, Recovery and Domestic Abuse services, alongside other professionals all work together to improve outcomes for people needing our services.

This will be central to your values, knowledge base and approach. Leading and embedding our strength-based approach (Let’s Talk Together) you will demonstrate the skills to turn our values into action. You will understand and role model the behaviours to lead in a complex system and be willing to work across system boundaries with all stakeholders for the benefits of the person.

As an experienced and registered Health or Social Care practitioner, you will want to work in a setting that believes that people are at their healthiest and happiest when they are supported to remain independent. You will demonstrate a collaborative and facilitative style of leadership, which ensures you engage, coach, mentor, motivate and inspire your team to become high performing, ensuring the service provided is both effective and responsive to the needs of the population.
