The Role:
To work as part of our Income Collection Team. You will review and manage accounts and contact our tenants about their rent accounts arrears and related matters.
You will take action to collect rent and arrears including the first stages of legal action.
You will speak to our tenants on the phone and in person including regular home visits and interviews at our Hubs and community locations across the city.
You will  work closely with our Financial Inclusion, and Support and Progression teams and and other City Council teams to sustain tenancies, support our tenants and achieve our collection rate target.

The Person:
You are passionate about delivering an excellent service to  customers..You will have good negotiation skills and knowledge and experience of working in a debt collection role, preferably in a Housing environment. You will be polite and caring and be able to give hard messages in an empathetic manner. Above all you will be customer focused and prepared to go that extra mile to resolve problems for our tenants that help them sustain their tenancy and maintain their rent payments.
 
We have one full time (37 hours pw) 12 month fixed term post available.
