St Mary’s Catholic Primary, a Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust School, are seeking to appoint a caring, resourceful, reliable, self-motivated individual who will take great pride in our school premises and grounds. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and have excellent organisational skills.
Contract Type:
Full Time (Annual Leave 25 days increasing to 29 days with 5 yr service + 8 Bank Holidays)

37 hours per week (Split shift)
The successful candidate will:
Have high expectations of maintaining the school and keeping it in excellent condition.
Have good knowledge and experience of operating a safe and secure site and complying with H&S legislation (training will be provided to secure full understanding)
Have the ability to adjust to the needs of the role and show flexibility and initiative, when necessary, (including an adaptation in hours when required)
Have good IT Skills
Be able to support the Catholic ethos of the school
Be contactable during unsociable hours to receive emergency call outs.
Duties will include:
Responsibility for Health & Safety and Security of the school site, including locking and unlocking the school every day during term time and some weeks of the holidays
Maintaining the school in an excellent condition both externally and internally
Managing external contractors, servicing works and small projects
Monitoring site stock and ordering supplies
Communicating effectively with a range of people including children, staff, visitors and external agencies.

The successful candidate should ideally hold a current full clean driving licence as you may be required to pick up stock/equipment as part of your day.
