As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will deliver a high standard of occupational therapy services across a range of settings, supporting adults with complex needs to live as safely and independently as possible. You will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to promote the health and wellbeing of our residents and contribute to various service improvement initiatives.
Essential requirements are a diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. Candidates must also have a minimum of four years post qualifying experience, be confident in their ability to meet the travel requirements of the post and demonstrate the required competencies.
We are looking for a therapist that can:
- Undertake assessments of individuals capabilities and goals, creating tailored interventions to promote safety, independence and improve quality of life.
- Develop and review care plans, ensuring they meet individuals’ needs and align with council policies and legal frameworks.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on adaptations, equipment, and supportive strategies to individuals, families, and carers.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to case discussions and ensuring a holistic approach to care.
- Mentor and support junior staff and students as required.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement projects within the council.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
