South Tyneside Council is seeking an experienced Programme Delivery and Monitoring Officer who will be responsible for leading the planning, managing and monitoring of projects, programmes and external funding streams which are being delivered by the Council or external partners.
 
You will ensure effective service delivery by supporting and monitoring grant programmes and funding contracts.  These programmes or projects could be either geographically focussed, thematic or contract basis.
 
You will:
 
  • Co-ordinate the planning, organisation and management of projects and programmes, to ensure the most effective use of resources.
  • Co-ordinate stakeholder engagement activity to support programme and project activity.
  • Report on programme performance to a range of stakeholders including Council Members, regional partners and Government.
  • Ensure that programmes are delivered in compliance with funding guidelines e.g. UK Shared Prosperity Fund. 

We would consider applications from individuals wishing to work on a part time basis, a minimum of 20 hours per week would be considered.
 
The official working base for this post will be at the Town Hall in South Shields, you will be able to work from a range of locations across South Tyneside as well as an element of home-based working if required.
