Our Support & Progression Services are psychologically, and trauma informed in recognition of the needs of the people that we support. We are also in the process of registering with Ofsted as part of the regulatory requirements for supported accommodation.
The Staying Close service is aimed at young people who are leaving local authority care to support with resettlement and successful independent living. This includes providing access to a transitional tenancy and supporting young people through the provision of practical and psycho-social support. This is done by ensuring that young people are safe and have skills to be able live independently.
We are looking to appoint x 2 Young Persons Support & Progression Workers to join our Staying Close project. These workers will act as mentors to young people who are leaving residential care and will have demonstrable experience in developing positive relationships with young people. These workers will provide proactive support to ensure young people have the skills to do things for themselves, developing their abilities and confidence and helping them to overcome any barriers to living independently.
These are two-year fixed term positions.
