Who we are looking for:

We are seeking to appoint a Workforce Development Officer on a temporary basis to support a maternity leave within the Adult Social Care Workforce Development team, based at the Civic Centre.
 
What will the role involve?
The Adult Social Care Workforce Development team is responsible for providing learning and development opportunities to one of the largest directorates of Newcastle City Council.
Working within the team as a Workforce Development Officer, you will be responsible for:
  • the development of training resources,
  • supporting services with achieving full training compliance,
  • supporting with developmental training sessions,
  • providing training information and guidance to the directorate,
  • contributing towards workforce planning which takes into account relevant professional standards and requirements, and ongoing service plans.

To be successful in the role:
  • You will be a highly motivated and committed with experience of working in a social care environment.
  • You will possess excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
  • You will enjoy talking to people and supporting then on their personal development journeys.
