This post attracts a Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £11.985 an hour.
 
You will be employed by the Gosforth Group and may need to work across all locations within the Multi Academy Trust as required.

About the role
 
We are currently seeking to appoint Lettings Assistants to work the following weekly shift pattern.
 
Shift 1: Saturday 8.30 to 6.30pm (with half an hour break)
Shift 2: Sunday 8.30 to 6.30pm (with half an hour break)
 
The shifts can be offered as a single day contract or for the whole weekend. There are two posts being offered per day.
 
Letting Assistants form part of the Trust’s central facilities team.  The main role of the Letting Assistant is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for customers who use school facilities which are available for use by the community. These facilities vary depending on the school but include sports hall, exercise studios, classrooms and outdoor areas.

The Lettings Support Assistant will:
  • Take bookings and operate the booking system.
  • Ensure that areas are ready for use as per the booking system.
  • Be familiar with the safe operating practices and ensure that all areas are safe to be used.
  • Set out equipment as required and ensure that storage areas are kept tidy.
  • Action and report any defects or damage.
  • Undertake ad hoc cleaning to ensure that the facilities are always presentable.
  • Open up and close buildings as well as maintaining site security.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with customers including the handling of compliments, suggestions and complaints.
  • Carry out other operational or administrative duties connected with the operation of the use of the facilities. 

The community use of school facilities is important in ensuring that our schools are seen as being pivotal to the local community.
 
What we are looking for
 
The successful candidate will have experience of working with members of the public in a customer care type role which does not have to be sport related. An awareness of health and safety is essential however support will be available from the central team. The ability to operate IT systems such as MS Office will be required. A calm and thoughtful approach will be required to resolve any challenges to delivering the best possible service to customers.
The safety of our pupils is paramount; therefore, it is essential that the successful post holder is committed to child protection and safeguarding.
