As an experienced IT Technician, you will be used to providing a responsive service for your customers as well as being able to deal with a range of IT issues. We are looking for an individual with experience in setting up and supporting a network for a large organisation, both in terms of infrastructure and users. We have over 1600 users, who will require accounts, and with permissions to manage. You will appreciate that, in a large school, cyber security and monitoring of activity is an important function also.
The role will be involved in physically setting up equipment, such as computer and networking infrastructure as well as dealing with the software side of things, installing and managing the Academy’s software requirements. Office 365 has become a major part of our school and we are slowly moving over to a more cloud-based system such as SharePoint. We have a windows server setup with a standard DHCP and DNS configuration. We are looking for the skills and experience to manage this set up.
The role will also have some involvement in training of staff, to improve how we use the systems and packages that we use, as well as some involvement with data protection issues.
